CIEP (project coordinator) - France

Centre international d’études pédagogiques (CIEP) - France

The Centre international d’études pédagogiques (CIEP) was founded in 1945 and became a national public institution in 1987. The CIEP is a key public operator under the auspices of the Ministry of National Education and Youth. It is also the main operating partner of the Ministry for Europe and  Foreign Affairs in these areas.

The CIEP is a public institution of reference on an international level, in the field of education and training. Its primary mission is to promote French expertise on the subject.

Its main areas of expertise include development of teacher training programs, curriculum reforms and design of education sectoral plans. The CIEP represents a resource think-tank on related issues, and French expertise, playing the role of facilitator in the constitution of consortiums. It also organises networks of experts and institutions worldwide.

Ministère de l’Education nationale et de la Jeunesse - France

The Ministry is in charge of the definition and implementation of policies in the fields of education, youth and extracurricular activities.It relies on a centralised administration organised around three main bodies of action : the directorates, the inspectorates, and bodies, that are placed under its responsibility. Two main entities in the Ministry are actively involved in the ACT project : the Directorate general for Schools (DGESCO) and the National Council for Evaluation of the School System (CNESCO).

DGESCO is responsible for developing pedagogical and educational policy which it delivers with the support of the Ministry’s regional services, all over the country (rectorats d’académies). DGESCO organises nationwide assessment. It is also responsible for the implementation of national curricula in schools as well as the design of teacher training curricula, both initial and continuing, and the organisation of secondary school teacher recruitment nationwide.

Ecole d'économie de Paris - France

Ecole d'économie de Paris - France

The Paris School of Economics (EEP) is a French research institute of international standing in Economics, ranked among the top ten economics departments in the world (RePec). Institute of Political Studies - France

Founded in 1872, the Institute of Political Studies is France’s leading university in the social sciences. For over 140 years, it has educated decision-makers in the public and private sectors.

The university has around 13,000 students from 150 nationalities. It is fourth in the QS ranking for politics and international studies.

The institute is an offshoot of the University of Cergy-Pointoise (UCP) and also has a convention with the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. The institute’s faculty consists of 110 research professors representing the full breadth of social science disciplines who collaborate on a multitude of multi-disciplinary research projects.

Ministry of Education and Vocational Training - Spain

The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training is the Department of the General State Administration in charge of the proposal and execution of the Government's policy on education and vocational training, including all the levels of the education system except university education, without prejudice to the powers of the Higher Council of Sports in the field of sports education.

It is also the responsibility of this Department to promote cooperative actions and, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation, of international relations in the field of non-university education.

 The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, under the superior direction of the person in charge of the Department, carries out the functions that legally correspond to it through the following superior and directive bodies:

a) The Secretary of State for Education and Vocational Training.

b) The Undersecretariat of Education and Vocational Training.

As a body of political and technical support to the person holding the Ministry, there is a Cabinet, with an organic level of the General Directorate, with the structure established in article 18.2 of Royal Decree 595/2018, of June 22, establishing the basic organic structure of the ministerial departments.

 The following are collegiate advisory or participation bodies of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training:

a) The State School Council, which is related to the Ministry through the State Secretariat of Education and Vocational Training, and which will exercise the functions attributed to it by Article 32 of the Organic Law 8/1985, of July 3 , Regulator of the Right to Education, and Royal Decree 694/2007, of June 1, which regulates the State School Board.

b) The Superior Council of Artistic Teaching, which is related to the Ministry through the State Secretariat of Education and Vocational Training, and which will exercise the functions attributed to it by Article 45 of Organic Law 2/2006, of May 3 , of Education, and article 4 of Royal Decree 365/2007, of March 16, by which the Superior Council of Artistic Education is regulated.

c) The State Observatory of School Coexistence, which is related to the Ministry through the State Secretariat of Education and Vocational Training, and which will exercise the functions attributed to it by article 2 of Royal Decree 275/2007, of 23 February, by which the State Observatory of School Coexistence is created.

Fundación Europea, Sociedad y Educación - Spain

The European Foundation Society and Education (EFSE) was established in Madrid, Spain in 2004.

The Foundation is a private and independent entity that promotes research and debate on the strategic role of education in promoting progress and democratic development. It also aims to create a meeting point between policymakers, the educational community, private companies, and society to reflect on strategic issues in education based on the research conducted by its analysts and collaborators.  

The foundation’s research department is the Social and Educational Studies Institute. It conducts legal, political, educational, economic and sociological studies, providing spaces for discussion, analysis, training, and evaluation for both public and private institutions at the local and international levels.

Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs - Greece

The Ministry of Education is the central authority in Greece for matters relating to educational policy and administration of education. It is responsible for governing education, training, research, innovation and religious affairs.

The mission of the Ministry is to:

Institute of Educational Policy - Greece

The Institute of Educational Policy was established in 2011. It is an executitive scientific body which supports the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs  in Greece, being the main consultative body, on issues related to primary and secondary education, as well as the transition from secondary to tertiary education.

In this context, I.E.P. researches systematically and recommends support actions on issues concerning all aspects of primary and secondary education, including formulating and updating policy, curricula and teaching materials; teachers’ and school leaders’ selection procedure, in-service training and evaluation; special education; intercultural education and in general factors that directly or indirectly affect school units’ nature, function and effectiveness.
